The tombstone is carved on MDF wood that has been sprayed with granite spray paint for a realistic tombstone look. The words are actually carved into the wood and left the natural color of the underlying wood, not painted and will last much better than painted words that will fade or wear off. The sign has been sprayed with outdoor varnish to protect it and I recommend that you spray the sign again each year for a long life. The sign has a metal stake that push into the ground to keep the sign upright (see second photo).

Assembly required: 2 screws to hold stakes into pre-drilled wood sign. You will need a phillips head screwdriver.
