Perfect for jewelry designers looking for a unique jewelry display, or for the jewelry enthusiast looking for a great way to store their bracelets on their dresser or night stand. Each one of my jewelry displays are one of a kind.
This year has been a bad year for the trees on our property. We had a heavy snow early in the season and we lost a whole aspen tree and many pine trees, limbs and tree tops because of the weight of the snow. But, rather than burn all the downed wood, I have decided to make as many things from the fallen trees as possible. This is one of my creations.
This is a single bracelet T bar that I made from the burl of Lodge Pole Pine trees in our yard that have weathered a couple years. Burl's are kind of like a tumor that trees can get from stress (the last picture shows a tree with a burl growth). When the bark is removed from them they have really cool shapes and striations. This is a totally sustainable piece and no trees were harmed in the making of this piece.
After I got it all assembled, I gave it several coats of clear, low VOC varnish to seal the wood so that it will last a lifetime.
